For more than 40 years, the AUA's Self-Assessment Study Program (SASP) has served as a premier educational resource for both aspiring and practicing urologists. Developed annually, the SASP comprises a comprehensive 150-question, multiple-choice practice examination that covers the fundamental principles of medical knowledge and the latest advances in patient care. Participants have the option to take the SASP either as an open book or closed book test. In addition, the program offers detailed answer rationales, correct answers, and scientific references.

So, what makes the SASP the AUA's most popular study tool for exam preparation? Well, it is designed to emulate the format of both the AUA and ABU's multiple-choice examinations. Furthermore, it is available in three convenient formats to cater to individual study preferences. By providing participants with their scores, peer average scores, and access to answer commentary and scientific references, the SASP enables them to assess their strengths and weaknesses across various clinical areas. This enriches their learning experience significantly. Additionally, it is worth noting that over 30% of the content of the ABU Life Long Learning Knowledge Assessment is directly sourced from SASP.
